Nikki Bella Says She Might Not Take Artem’s Name Because She Can’t Pronounce it
Nikki Bella is getting ready to get married following a year of dating. Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki are engaged and the former pro wrestler is also expecting her first baby. Us Magazine reported on comments from Nikki, however, in which she declared some of her reservations regarding her fiancé’s name.
During an episode of Watch With Us, Bella and her 36-year-old twin sister, Brie, spoke on both of their pregnancies as well as Artem’s last name which Bella thinks is incredibly difficult to pronounce. Brie joked with Us Magazine that Nikki is still trying to figure out how to pronounce it.
She’s not entirely sure whether she’ll be taking his name anyway. The star claims she has joked with him on a number of occasions that maybe it would be better if he took her last name instead, considering it’s easier to pronounce.
Nikki said to Us Magazine that the “future is female,” anyway, adding that Artem was “very traditional,” so it’s hard to say whether he’ll be down for a name change. Traditional or not, Bella claims she loves his conservative and traditional values.

As it was previously reported, Bella and Artem revealed they got engaged in France last year in November. Around three days after, she discovered she was pregnant. Coincidentally, her sister, Brie, was also pregnant.
Many social media users were floored by the coincidental nature of the news, however, the Bella sisters said publicly that the pregnancy was not intentional at all. Regardless, the pregnancy news shocked Nikki to her core, and she didn’t tell anyone for several weeks because she wanted to make sure the pregnancy test was correct.
On another note, Bella claims she’s worried about how fans of Total Bellas will think of her character following the release of this season’s Total Bellas. Nikki was in a relationship with John Cena before getting engaged to Artem.
Rumor has it that John’s refusal to have children with Nikki played a fundamental role in their relationship’s collapse. Nikki has suggested this was the cause of their breakup around the time of their wedding.
