Sofia Vergara Joins America’s Got Talent And Heidi Klum Returns With Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, And Terry Crews

Sofia Vergara is in-demand in virtually everything she does. When her engagement to Nick Loeb ended, Joe Manganiello swooped in and swept the Colombian beauty off her feet and then married her! No sooner did her hit-ABC sitcom Modern Family come to an end after 11 seasons, that NBC scooped up the 47-year-old bombshell to give her a role as a new host on America’s Got Talent. Sofia’s fans are thrilled she got the job and are looking forward to seeing her humor and bubbly personality on the judge’s panel. Joining her will be Heidi Klum who makes her return and Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and host Terry Crews. Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara replace Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union who were fired from the show.

NBC Entertainment President of Alternative & Reality Group Meredith Ahr released a statement about Sofia joining the show.

“Sofia’s infectious energy and sharp wit will blend perfectly with returning favorites Heidi, Simon, Howie, and Terry. As both a respected actress and successful entrepreneur, she embodies the American dream that is synonymous with AGT’s transformative stage.”

Sofia Vergara also released a statement about joining AGT’s judge’s panel.

“I’m so happy to join my new family on AGT. This is a new and exciting next chapter for me and I’m extremely proud to be the first Latin judge on the show.”

Fans are just as excited to have Heidi Klum as they are about Sofia Vergara. Heidi was a judge on the show from 2013 until 2018. Following her departure from America’s Got Talent, she was a judge on America’s Got Talent: Champions. Now that she is returning to the main AGT show, excitement about the new season continues to mount.

Heidi Klum also released a statement about the upcoming season, her return and working with Sofia Vergara.

“I’m so excited to be back at America’s Got Talent with Simon, Howie, and Terry. The fact that Sofia Vergara is joining us is the icing on an already delicious cake.”
