Beyonce – Here’s Why She Banned Photographers From Taking Pics Of Her At Kobe Bryant’s Memorial!

Beyonce was one of the many A listers who attended the emotional memorial of late NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna but the singer asked that no pictures be taken of her while there. In fact, not only was she there but Queen Bey also performed at the memorial and it was amazing and so touching!

However, as mentioned before, the photographers in attendance were banned from capturing any of it and here’s why!

A couple of days ago, Bey was at the Staples Center celebrating the life of Kobe Bryant after the legendary basketball player lost his life in a tragic helicopter crash that left no survivors.

Organizers of the memorial banned photographers from taking any pics of Beyonce and now, one insider report claims to know the request first came from her.

The source told HollywoodLife that ‘Beyonce asked no pictures of her were taken at Kobe’s memorial. She did not want to take the attention away from Vanessa and the family. She only performed because she really loved Kobe and she wanted to do something special for Vanessa.’

The whole event was actually live streamed so the fact that Beyonce was there was definitely not a secret.

Following her performance, Beyonce sat with Kobe’s widow Vanessa, who has also been her friend for a very long time and tried her best to comfort her.

Vanessa delivered many emotional speeches about her husband and daughter so it must have been really hard on her.

Beyonce, Vanessa and Kobe became friends all the way back in the ‘90s!

The same can be said about Bey’s husband, rapper Jay Z who revealed that he saw Kobe the last time during their New Years’ Eve party!

‘He was last in my house on New Year’s and he was just in the greatest space that I’ve seen him in. One of the last things that he said to me was, ‘You gotta see Gianna play basketball.’ And that was really one of the most hurtful things because he was so proud,’ Jay told the crowd at the memorial.
