Chad Johnson Shares His Story Following Domestic Abuse Arrest

On Wednesday, Chad Johnson, the 32-year-old Bachelorette alum, who was charged with domestic violence and robbery, took to his Instagram account to share his side of the story, Fox News has learned. The reality star shared a video in which he explained what happened with his girlfriend, Annalise Mishler, from his perspective.

Chad said on his social media channel that he and his girlfriend broke up and it was a devastating loss for him. To cope with his feeling of loss and pain, Chad began drinking heavily, despite the fact he has struggled with alcoholism in the past.

The reality star shared that it has been a persistent problem throughout his life, and he “doesn’t act right” after drinking. Johnson stated that he had a few drinks and went over to speak with her in her apartment. They live in the same building but in a different apartment.

Subsequently, they managed to work things out, however, she found out he downloaded a dating application on his phone, and he started to received messages in front of her. Also, it didn’t help that Annalise discovered he had been drinking again.

The Bachelorette‘s Chad Johnson has been arrested after an alleged fight with his girlfriend. According to People magazine, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Chad — who competed on JoJo Fletcher‘s season of The Bachelorette as well as Bachelor in Paradise — was arrested yesterday on robbery with domestic violence enhancement charges. TMZ, also reports that his girlfriend, Annalise Mishler, said he got physical with her and officers found visible red marks on her face. Reportedly, the robbery charges are from when he allegedly grabbed her phone away while she called 911. Annalise had previously documented the fight in a series of posts on her Instagram Story — which has since been deleted. However, the posts were captured by television writer Reality Steve. The videos allege that Chad punched a hole through her wall, and shows him allegedly “screaming” outside of her door and trying to get inside. They started to argue again, and then when he went over there the following day to try and work things out with her, it was too late. When he went over to her apartment, they began talking again, except this time, she started recording their interaction, which he didn’t like at all.

The reality star claims he made a “stupid decision,” grabbed her phone, and then threw it outside. When a neighbor heard what was going on, they phoned the police and then he was subsequently arrested. He was charged with robbery because he threw her phone, which technically counted as a robbery.

Johnson stated that the incident, while stupid on his part, wasn’t really domestic abuse; he had just been charged with domestic disturbance and robbery because he made noise when talking to her and tossed her phone.

The reality star went on to say that he was very confident the charges would be dropped because no violence really took place. TMZ reported earlier this week that Johnson was arrested on Monday for the aforementioned incident. She also claimed he punched a hole in the wall.
