Vanessa Bryant Is Trying To Stay Strong For Her Girls After Kobe & Gigi’s Passing – ‘It’s An Extremely Difficult And Devastating Time’

While the world mourns the loss of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna – who was nicknamed “Gigi” – there is no one on Earth struggling to come to terms with the tragedy more than Vanessa Bryant. In the blink of an eye she lost her husband and daughter, and an insider says that she is surrounded by loved ones who are trying to help her get through this unimaginable tragedy.

“It’s an extremely difficult and devastating time for Vanessa and the whole family,” a source told People magazine, with a second adding that 37-year-old widow is “devastated.”

Vanessa still has her three daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 7 months, and she is relying on her support system and her faith because she is grieving the tragic loss of her husband who she met and married when she was just a teenager

“She can hardly keep it together,” the insider says. “She can’t finish a sentence without crying. But she is working very hard to pull it together for the other girls. She now has to be the strong one. Of course, you can never be prepared for this. Despite their ups and downs, [Vanessa and Kobe] were soulmates. She thought of him as her partner for life.”

The second source said that Vanessa is not alone, but obviously she will be grieving this for a very long time.

Kobe, Gianna, his personal pilot, and Gianna’s teammates and parents were on their way to a basketball game at his Mamba Academy when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. A friend of the family said that Kobe was proud to see his daughters take after him and Vanessa, but also grow into their own. The friend said that Kobe had a special bond with each one of his daughters.

In November 2019, Kobe celebrated the 20th anniversary of the day he met Vanessa with a sweet Instagram post that included throwback photos. He wrote in the caption that on that day 20 years ago he met his best friend and Queen.

Kobe said that he decided to celebrate old school style and take Vanessa to Disneyland, and ended his caption by writing, “I love you my mamacita per sempre.”

That same month, Kobe Bryant told Maria Shriver during an interview that being a father was his greatest accomplishment and the thing he is most proud of in this world.
