Meghan King Edmonds Reveals What She’s Looking For In A Man Amid Divorce From Jim Edmonds

Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King Edmonds isn’t legally single yet, as she is going through a divorce from former St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds. But, that doesn’t mean she isn’t looking for a new guy.

Meghan appeared on Nick Viall’s Viall Files podcast this week, and she shared what she is looking for in a man despite the fact that she’s in the middle of a nasty split from Jim. Her checklist included loyalty, a solid family upbringing, somebody who works instead of living off a trust fund, and no athletes.

The 35-year-old’s list was obviously influenced by her marriage to Jim. She accused him of cheating multiple times, and he’s also a former professional athlete. Meghan said that she’s “been there, done that.”

Meghan and Jim also share three children – Aspen, 3, and one-year-old twins Hart and Hayes. But, she’s not looking for a guy with kids of his own.

“At the risk of sounding extremely hypocritical, I’m not really into dating a guy with kids,” revealed Meghan. “I mean, I love kids, and I loved being a stepmom, but … it’s just, like, a lot of baggage. And I hate to call kids baggage, but kids are a lifelong commitment, and you didn’t have any input into creating this child, and it’s just hard.”

Meghan was the stepmom to Jim’s four kids from his two previous marriages, and his rep Steve Honig told Page Six that Meghan’s statement about dating a man who doesn’t have kids is a “really hurtful comment that speaks for itself.”

Jim’s four children from his previous marriages are no longer speaking to Meghan after their split, and she said that was “sad.” The RHOC alum might not prefer to date a man with kids, but she did admit that a guy like that would understand what she’s going through.

Meghan King Edmonds said that men are already “sliding in” to her DMs on Instagram, but she wouldn’t go so far as to say the guys are hot. However, she did say the DMs are hot, but it’s funny to her because they are asking her to go out in Boston and San Francisco.

Meghan says she hasn’t gone on any dates yet with the guys in her DMs, and she hasn’t responded either. She also revealed she hasn’t received a dick pic yet, but she’s looking forward to when she does so she can send one back.
