Jennifer Lopez And Shakira To Pay A ‘Heartfelt’ Tribute To Kobe Bryant At The Super Bowl

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are getting ready for a great performance at the Super Bowl but it also comes after great sadness in the entertainment industry. As you know, Kobe Bryant has passed away in a helicopter crash so many have been paying tribute to the basketball legend.

That being said, the performers are promising to do the same at the big event.

Apparently, it’s going to be something really ‘heartfelt.’

This is what the songstresses revealed during the Super Bowl press conference.

They also opened up about their reactions to finding out about the untimely death of the sportsman.

J.Lo. recalled learning about the crash from her fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

She shared how: ‘Alex came to me with tears in his eyes, and he’s like, ‘You’re not going to believe what happened.’ He was devastated. He knew Kobe really well.  I knew both Kobe and Vanessa more in passing. He’d come to my last show in Las Vegas—the both of them—as a date night and we had a beautiful night.’

‘I think of how awful it must be for her right now. I have just been praying that God guides her through every moment since she has three more babies to take care of and wishing that the nightmare was over but it is not going to be. That is life and we have to carry on. But at the same time, it affects us and it’ll affect us forever,’ she went on to add.

As for their joint performance, Jennifer and Shakira can only hope to spread ‘love and kindness and bring everybody together.’

‘I think we will all be remembering Kobe on Sunday. We’ll be celebrating life, and celebrating diversity in this country,’ Shakira also stated.

And just like him, the ladies hope to be an inspiration for young people all over the world, including their kids, that everything is possible.
