There were two other people hurt, including a 27-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy. Thankfully, the police say they’re on their way to a speedy recovery. Sources claim that authorities also found what they believe is the murder weapon.
As hip-hop fans know, this won’t be the only time a rapper was shot and killed in the last year. Another rising star in the industry, Pop Smoke, had his home invaded by a group of men who shot and killed him near the beginning of the year.
It was one of the biggest tragedies in the hip-hop community. Many stars, entertainers, rappers, and celebrities close to the scene, commemorated the rapper’s tragic passing on social media, including 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj, just to name a few.
Both parties, Nicki and 50 Cent, claimed the murder was likely motivated by jealousy and resentment. Additionally, Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in March 2019 outside of his LA clothing store. His death took the hip-hop world by surprise and he was trending on social media for weeks.
