Lil Wayne Says ‘We Should Blame Ourselves’ In Response To The George Floyd Killing And People Are Mad!

The rapper is in a bit of hot water because of what he had to say in response to the death of George Floyd. As you know, many celebrities have been expressing their frustration over the tragic police-caused death and demanding for justice to be found but Lil Wayne suggested to ‘place the blame on ourselves’ and that did not sit well with social media!

That being said, many are now asking that he gets ‘canceled!’

At the time, the famous rapper was on IG Live with Fat Joe.

Lil Wayne enraged many by suggesting that everyone is to blame, including the activists, not only the police officers involved and the legal system in general.

As far as he is concerned, tragedies like that happen because there is not much action being taken aside from the initial protesting and outraged posts online.

‘We have to stop placing the blame on the entire force or a certain race, or everyone with a badge… And if we want to place the blame on anyone, it should be ourselves for not doing more than what we think we are doing. Some people just put a tweet out and think they did something,’ he argued.

He went on to say, in part, that ‘Did you actually help the person? Did you actually help the family?, if I ain’t about to do all that, then I ain’t about to do nothing. What we need to do is we need to learn about it more. If we wanna protest about something, know what we’re protesting about. Because if we wanna get into it, there’s a bunch of facts that we think we know that we don’t know. … We scream about things that, sometimes, they really ain’t true.’

In the end of his rant, he stressed that he is still trying to educate himself on the topic and judging by the negative responses he received, it seems like he’s got a lot of studying to do!
