Selena Gomez Stuns In Makeup-Free Selfie And Shares Inspiring Message About Mental Health
Selena Gomez took to her Instagram account to show off her natural beauty as well as inspire people to love themselves more and remain positive, especially amid this quarantine! The star posted a pic in which she was not wearing any makeup and the message that was also featured in the image was her way of spreading positivity just as Mental Health Awareness Month begins.
It appears that Selena is ‘choosing happiness’ even in this scary time and is reminding herself to do that with post-its!
That’s right! Selena had the message ‘I am in charge of how I feel today. I am choosing happiness’ posted on her mirror so she can see it every day and she thought it would be a great idea to share that same sentiment with her fans as well.
That being said, she posed for a mirror selfie in which she looked stunning and fresh-faced and the message can also be seen, front and center!
Hair pulled back and wearing a casual black sweater, Selena is looking down at her phone screen while smiling for the pic.
The image is meant to suggest that her content expression is a result of having read that message on her mirror.

The post-it also features her cosmetics brand’s name, Rare Beauty, at the top since a longer but similar quote was first shared by the brand, to mark Mental Health Awareness Month.
It reads: ‘Choose happiness. Every month is Mental Health Awareness Month – we’ll be sharing more resources, community stories and ways we stay positive all month long. Enjoy your weekend, log off and do something that makes you feel good. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #rarereminder.’
It’s no secret that Selena is a huge advocate for a greater focus on one’s mental health and also ending all stigma around it so marking the month dedicated to it is no surprise!
