Naya Rivera’s Death Ruled Officially As ‘Drowning’

This Tuesday, an autopsy of the Glee actress, Naya Rivera, confirmed that she died from drowning, a report from Page Six revealed. Based on her dental records, the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said there was no doubt that the body found floating on Lake Piru Monday morning belonged to Naya.

In their statement, they claimed the findings were consistent with the time she went into the water. Currently, it appears as though alcohol and drugs did not play a role in her passing, however, an official toxicology test hasn’t been conducted yet.

Moreover, they didn’t find any evidence of a traumatic injury. As it was previously reported, the 33-year-old actress, Rivera, went missing this past Wednesday after she and her 4-year-old son, Josey, took a boat on a Southern California lake.

One day after she went missing, the officials moved toward finding her body rather than trying to find her alive. Her passing came as a huge shock to many in the entertainment industry, including her ex-boyfriend, Tahj Mowry, who posted an emotional message on his IG account this past week.

Tahj referred to Naya as his first love. They dated from 2000 until 2004. She left behind her son, Josey, 4, with her ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey. The pair got divorced after Rivera was arrested on domestic violence charges.

After the initial reports, another former ex-boyfriend, Big Sean, posted a cryptic post which many fans believed was in reference to the star’s supposed past with domestic violence. This weekend, the authorities released an official statement on their Twitter account in which they said they were using “sophisticated” sonar technology to find her remains.

Not long after she went missing, one of her former co-stars, Heather Morris, took to her social media to urge officials to find her. The Daily Mail picked up on photographs featuring Ryan Dorsey walking their son back to his vehicle.

The outlet says Ryan was spotted carrying a smiling Josey back to his car.
