Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Song ‘GOOBA’ Hit With Copyright Claim From Kenyan Producer Magix Enga
Tekashi 6ix9ine has been atop of mind in the hip-hop community over the last few weeks. Following his release to home confinement, the rapper has been making waves in the press and also on social media, much to the chagrin of some of his contemporaries.
It appears the performing artist has encountered a new problem: a Kenyan producer says that Tekashi stole one of his beats. In case you missed it, 6ix9ine dropped a brand new song, “GOOBA,” in which he owned up to some of the snitching claims and also made fun of all the people who are mad for his return to the rap game.
Despite being hated by many prominent members of the hip-hop community, the music video has since accrued millions of views, although, now, it has reportedly been removed from YouTube, a report from Hot New Hip Hop revealed today.
According to XXL, the song’s music video was dropped from YouTube’s video content on account of a copyright claim made by the Kenyan producer, Magix Enga. The copyright infringement claim states that the YouTube video is no longer viewable on account of the violation revealed by the aforementioned music producer.

On his Instagram, Magix Enga put 6ix9ine on blast for the song, stating that he used a sample of one of his beats. The producer says the song he used, in particular, was “Delete.” Currently, only the lyrical video of “GOOBA,” is still on YouTube, but the main video has been removed.
The news probably comes as a massive disappointment to Tekashi 6ix9ine, who has been trying to reach the coveted number #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the last few weeks.
Tekashi 6ix9ine took to his social media to say that the “whole world was watching” Billboard. Tekashi insinuated that the organization inflates its numbers at the behest of other record labels and performing artists.
Either way, “GOOBA” did manage to accrue over 150,000,000 million views since its release several weeks ago.
