Katy Perry Hit Rock Bottom In 2017 After Orlando Bloom Split; With A Baby On The Way And A Rekindled Romance With The Actor, She Is Enjoying A Revival With New ‘Daisies (Can’t Cancel Pride)’ Video
Katy Perry, who is pregnant with her first child at age 35, is coming clean about one of the darkest periods in her life when she split with her now-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, in 2017. The dark days are now a distant memory and she is promoting her new video, “Daisies (Can’t Cancel Pride).”
The situation was made worse when her album, Witness, that was released in the same year, failed to make a splash on the charts and was panned by critics.
The California native contemplated suicide, and she was only saved by her faith after years of struggling with mental health issues.
To lift her spirit up, she had to find a renewed sense of gratitude and appreciation for all the things that she had accomplished in her life and career.
The “Roar” artist made the revelation on SiriusXM CBC, where she said: “My career was on this trajectory when it was going up, up and up and then I had the smallest shift, not that huge from an outside perspective. But for me, it was seismic.”
She continued with: “I had given so much out, and it literally broke me in half. I had broken up with my boyfriend, who is now my baby daddy-to-be. And then I was excited about flying high off the next record. But the validation did not make me high, and so I just crashed.”

The pop superstar then added: “But I found the ways to be grateful. If it gets really, really hard, I walk around and say, “I am grateful, I am grateful!”; even though I am in a sh***y mood. Hope has always been an option for me, because of my relationship with God and something that is bigger than me. Of course, if I am the one controlling my destiny, I am going to be the one driving it into the ground.”
