Taylor Swift Opens Up About Also Missing Her Graduation Ceremony During Sweet ‘Dear Class Of 2020’ Speech

Taylor Swift, just like many other celebrities, joined YouTube’s Dear Class of 2020 event and she had a wonderful message to share with the graduates that, like never before in recent history, were unable to have a proper graduating ceremony due to the COVID-19 quarantine orders. Here’s what she had to say!

The singer started by acknowledging that the online graduating event was not what the Class of 2020 had imagined before the pandemic took over the world.

That being said, the event was definitely a huge success and provided excitement and comfort to many since, although virtually, it was as if all of these big stars were attending their graduating ceremonies and delivering speeches just for them!

Taylor went on to mention that she can also relate to their situation before talking about her personal experience with missing her own graduation.

According to the pop star, back when that happened, she was on a radio music tour with her mother, the two of them on the road all over the country in rental cars.

As a result, she recalled getting her diploma mailed to her.

‘That wasn’t what I pictured. I guess one good lesson to come from it – expect the unexpected, but celebrate anyway. I’m so proud of you guys and hope you have a wonderful time and are really proud of yourselves,’ she concluded her sweet and insightful speech.

This comes after, earlier this week, Taylor also used her voice to show support to the Black Lives Matter movement amid the protests happening all over the country.

She also slammed the POTUS after he glorified violence in a tweet that read: ‘when looting starts, the shooting starts.’

In response, the outraged Taylor wrote: ‘After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your whole presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before then threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November.’
