Counting On – Jana Duggar Is ‘Not That Worried’ About Being 30 & Single, But Admits She Feels Pressure To Find A Husband

Counting On star Jana Duggar is the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and she is the only daughter over 18 that isn’t married. It is extremely rare to be 30 and single in the Duggar family, but Jana says that she’s “not that worried about” her love life at the moment.

Jana and Michelle recently sat down for an interview with Us Weekly, and Jana explained that even though she isn’t worried about dating, she does want to find Mr. Right.

“Yes, I long to be married and one day I think that will come, but I think … I’m just also just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path,” said the Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships co-author.

While her younger sisters Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna are all married with kids, Jana says that she is “making the most” of her time as a single woman. She does admit that she feels “a little more pressure” to find the right guy, but sitting around and thinking about not being married just “makes things way worse.”

Over the years, Jana has been linked to a number of potential suitors, but she said during an October 2019 episode of Counting On that none of the guys have “worked out.”

“[My siblings] have been in relationships, courtships, whatever you want to label it as. Of course, it doesn’t always end in marriage and that’s OK,” said Jana. “You have to sometimes talk to someone, get to know someone and realize, you know what, it doesn’t have to end in marriage.”

As Counting On fans know, Jana still lives at home with her parents, since Duggar daughters are not allowed to move out until they are married. The kids in the family also court (date with purpose of marriage) potential partners instead of casually date.

Jana says that she wants a relationship like her parents – who married in 1984 – because they are “quick to forgive” and they always “try to make things right.” She says that the genuine “young” love they have for each other is rare with couples who are at their age and who have been married that long.

While Jana waits to meet her future husband, she has been busy tutoring her younger siblings and tending to her magnificent garden. She also has an eye for interior design and remodeled her parents’ bedroom last year.
