Matt Damon Jokingly Asks What He’ll Do Now After Jimmy Kimmel Announces Time Off – What About Appearing On The Show?

Jimmy Kimmel is dedicated to his family, but unfortunately, the television talk show host is leaving his long-running joke with the Contagion alum, Matt Damon.

On Thursday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host revealed he was going on a summer vacation, however, in the midst of the clip, Matt Damon slips into the bedroom inside of Kimmel’s home to castigate him for taking time off.

When Kimmel discusses his upcoming summer plans, Damon scoffs in response, “what does that mean, ‘off?'” The 49-year-old actor adds that he’s been trying to get on the show through hiding in the room for the last three months.

As most know, Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon have been duking it out in their “feud” for decades. There are a number of YouTube videos online which chronicle the prank-filled feud between the men, which typically revolve around Matt Damon trying to get on his show.

For years, Kimmel has ended his programs by stating that “unfortunately, we don’t have enough time for Matt Damon to come on the show.” Regarding the new clip, Kimmel said that there is nothing wrong with him or his family, he just needs a “couple of months off.”

The television show host appeared to be making reference to the 2017 clip in which he revealed that his son was born with heart problems, which later required a number of surgeries.

According to Page Six, Kimmel ‘s break will officially end in September this year, a time at which he’ll be gearing up to host the Emmy Awards. As it was previously reported, this past week, Kimmel confirmed he would be hosting the prestigious event yet again.

At the moment, it’s not clear how the Emmy Awards will manage to pull off the ceremony considering the new social distancing guidelines, however, what is clear, is that the organizers are thrilled at the idea of having him back again.

In a statement, the organization claimed they were excited to see what Jimmy had in store for the ceremony again this year.
