Adedamola Adefolahan who is widely known as Fireboy DML or simply “Fireboy” is a Nigerian born Afro-pop singer and songwriter who hails from Ogun State, South-Western Nigeria.

Fireboy was born on 5th of February, 1996 into the family of the Adefolahan’s in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Education

Damola completed his primary and secondary education in Abeokuta, Ogun State, South-Western Nigeria.

After completing his secondary education in Abeokuta, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he studied English language.

Music Career

Damola started singing at a very tender age in churches and schools.

While studying at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, he started manifesting his love for music and he became widely known in the school.

Fast forward to October 2018, Damola A.K.A Fireboy DML was signed into YBNL by Olamide who is also the Chief Executive Officer of the record label.

Olamide confirmed the signing in a welcome note which he posted on his Instagram handle in late 2018.

Fireboy was signed into YBNL with the aim of replacing Adekunle Gold who departed the label after releasing his debut album titled “LIFE“.

2019 was also one of the best years for this youngster as he released his most famous single/track titled “Jealous“.

The song – Jealous gained publicity and was widely accepted by his fans and lovers of Nigerian Afro-pop music.

This single has also made it to top 5 of almost all listings and music billboard charts right now.
