Rapper, Drake Is Being Sued By Musician For ‘stealing Beats’ For His Two Tracks
Drake is being sued by a New Orleans musician alleging he stole the beats for his songs In My Feelings and Nice For What from his tunes.
Samuel Nicholas III, known professionally as Sam Skully, has filed a lawsuit accusing Drake and collaborator Big Freedia of sampling a portion of his 2000 track Roll Call for their collaboration In My Feelings. He claims that he published his tune on a CD released in New Orleans back in 2000, but had no idea that the beat had allegedly been taken by the pair until he heard their song in the charts. In the documents, obtained by TMZ,
Skully states that he wasn’t contacted by Drake or Freedia to ask for permission to sample Roll Call, nor was he offered any money for the sample.
